HORSE LEATHER SLIPON SANDAL #4 LEATHER SOLES PIECE DYED
A slip-on sandal that combines the ease of summer footwear with the refinement of leather construction.
The open-toe design gives the model a light, seasonal feel, while the simple lace detail keeps the overall design restrained and allows the shape of the upper to stand out clearly.
Materials & Craftsmanship
This footwear is made from vegetable-tanned horse leather with a thickness of approximately 1.3–1.5 mm.
The leather is first oiled to prepare it for dyeing. After the shoes have been constructed, they undergo the piece-dyeing process, followed by a slow period of natural drying.
During drying, each pair is carefully reshaped and adjusted by hand to restore the intended proportions and fit.
Once completely dry, the leather is oiled and polished by hand, bringing out its depth, natural texture, and individual character.
The combination of vegetable-tanned horse leather and piece dyeing creates subtle variations in color and surface from pair to pair. With wear, the leather gradually develops greater depth and a character unique to the wearer.
All finishing processes are carried out in-house and by hand.
