HORSE LEATHER VS TREKKING LINED VIBRAM SOLES GOODYEAR NORWEGIAN WELT PIECE DYED
A trekking-inspired boot defined by its substantial silhouette and robust construction.
The Goodyear Norwegian welt construction creates a strong and durable foundation, while the Vibram sole reinforces the rugged character of the design. Speed hooks at the upper section make the boots easier to lace and adjust, while also adding a functional metal accent to the silhouette.
The deep dark brown brings a sense of calm and refinement to the rugged construction. As the leather develops with wear, the color gains greater depth and character, making it a shade to enjoy over many years.
Materials & Craftsmanship
This footwear is made from vegetable-tanned horse leather with a thickness of approximately 1.3–1.5 mm.
The leather is first oiled to prepare it for dyeing. After the shoes have been constructed, they undergo the piece-dyeing process, followed by a slow period of natural drying.
During drying, each pair is carefully reshaped and adjusted by hand to restore the intended proportions and fit.
Once completely dry, the leather is oiled and polished by hand, bringing out its depth, natural texture, and individual character.
The combination of vegetable-tanned horse leather and piece dyeing creates subtle variations in color and surface from pair to pair. With wear, the leather gradually develops greater depth and a character unique to the wearer.
All finishing processes are carried out in-house and by hand.
