Through the tanning and piece-dyeing processes, the leather contracts and the fibers tighten, further emphasizing these natural characteristics and creating a deeply textured surface with distinctive depth and shadow.After the bag has been constructed, it undergoes the piece-dyeing process and is then left to dry naturally over an extended period. During drying, the shape is carefully adjusted by hand.Once completely dry, the leather is oiled and finished by hand to enhance the depth of the wrinkles, natural texture, and individual character.Because the wrinkles and grain vary naturally from hide to hide, no two pieces develop exactly the same expression. With use, the leather gradually gains greater depth and sheen.All finishing processes are carried out in-house and by hand.
